I've been doing this crazy sport of triathlon for almost 30 years; before aero-wheels, aero-helmets and, yes, even aero-bars!  I've raced the Ironman World Championships in Kona 4 times, and hold a 9:24 Ironman PR.  And I've retired no less than 3 times!  However, my last "retirement" was involuntary, after a serious knee injury in 2015.  Now I'm on the comeback! 

I've got one more push left in me....for my FAMILY, for my RECOVERY and for my CAUSE.

As part of this JOURNEY, I'm raising money and awareness for Shriners Hospitals for Children - Boston.  This is not a short term, fundraiser.  I plan to take you along with me for the next year as I train for Ironman Lake Placid.  You'll see the good, the bad, the ugly....and hopefully the joy in this JOURNEY!  Documenting this will be a huge endeavor on my part, so if you follow me, I hope you'll consider donating to the cause, and sharing this with your friends, families, teammates, to help raise awareness for this great organization!
